Senior Business Development Consultant

There is a very exciting opportunity for someone motivated by sales to become part of our market leading team. We are looking to recruit someone with at least 2 years of experience. The skills and competency you have, should enable you to handle customer relationship management, lead generation,  new client engagement, closing new business and retention of existing business.

Main duties or tasks of the employee

  • Gathering market and customer information
  • Cold contacting key decision makers via phone or online to prospect for new business
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
  • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy
  • Face to face client meetings and presentations as needed
  • Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Campaign implementation
  • Invoicing, recording sales and keeping CRM up to date
  • Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues

Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications (essential & desirable)

  • Educated to degree/NVQ level or equivalent is essential

  • Questioning skills are essential
  • Computer and technical literacy is essential
  • GCSE Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above is essential
  • B2B inside sales experience is desirable
  • CRM experience is desirable
